IMD – Individual metering and billing

1 min read

With IMD (individual metering and billing) you pay for the water and/or electricity you use in your apartment. That means you can influence your housing costs yourself.

How IMD works

With IMD (individual metering and billing) you pay for the water and/or electricity you use in your apartment. That means you can influence your housing costs yourself through how much water and electricity you use.

You pay your rent in advance, but you pay for water and electricity in arrears. We measure your consumption every month and the cost appears on your next rent invoice.

Follow your consumption in Boendeappen

In Boendeappen you can see how much water and electricity you use. That makes it easier to keep track of your consumption and your costs.

When you move in

Your first payment for water and/or electricity appears on your second rent invoice. You then pay for what you used during your first month in the apartment.

When you move out

Because you pay for water and electricity in arrears, you receive a final rent invoice after you have moved out. It comes the month after you move and covers the cost of the water and/or electricity you used up to your moving-out day.
