Focus: In the area
We work constantly on the life between the buildings so that everyone enjoys living here. The survey shows what our tenants think matters most when it comes to the outdoor environment.
To build a stronger sense of community, the surroundings need to be inviting and pleasant to spend time in. Many people want to see the outdoor environment improved. In particular, they ask for a cleaner area with less litter, better lighting and more playgrounds. There is always more to do, but the input from the survey lets us put our time where it is needed most right now.
What have we done so far?
- Installed new waste systems and put up more bins.
- Put up 10 bins shaped like different animals, aimed especially at children.
- Repainted all the benches and playgrounds in the area.
- Built two new barbecue areas, on Distansgatan and on Kappland/Tunnlandsgatan.
- Cleared all the stairwells of rubbish.
- Taken on environment hosts over the summer.
- Introduced monthly containers for bulky waste.
- Offered more occasions to get rid of bulky waste.
- Put out more benches.
- Built a pergola by the barbecue areas on Tunnlandsgatan.
- Laid new tarmac on Distansgatan.
