Focus: Safety
Feeling safe in your area and at home is something we take very seriously, together with the city and the police. According to the survey, safety is the most important issue for residents.
Safety is, unsurprisingly, the most important issue according to the survey, and the one people feel most strongly about. Many ask for a greater police presence, better lighting and more adults in the area to make it feel safer. Thanks to all the answers, we have carried out a range of activities, and the work goes on.
What have we done so far?
- Renovated every laundry room on upper Distansgatan.
- Restored stairwells to their original condition across the whole of Hässleholmen, with the help of youth groups, staff and Brokyrkan. We cleaned floors, walls and ceilings in every stairwell.
- Introduced new cleaning routines - we have increased cleaning to every week instead of every other week, and we note anything that is not as it should be.
- Replaced windows, renovated the facade, fitted new entrance doors and replaced the roof on our properties at Våglängdsgatan 11-17 and 27-33.
- Replaced windows, renovated the facade, fitted new entrance doors, replaced the roof and updated our ventilation system at Kapplandsgatan 14-18.
- Repainted the basement along the whole of upper Våglängdsgatan.
- Repainted the basement at Våglängdsgatan 27-33 and 43-49.
Other things that have happened
- More CCTV cameras.
