Official documents

Bostäder i Borås is a municipal company. That means we are covered by the principle of public access to official documents.

What is an official document?

An official document can be text, an image, sound or film, for example.

To count as an official document, it must:

  • have been received by us or created here
  • be kept by us

How to request documents

You can request an official document by contacting us by phone or e-mail.

To make things easier, we would prefer you to e-mail us at info@bostaderiboras.se

Describe as clearly as you can which document it concerns, so that we can help you faster.

Fees

We may charge a fee for copies of official documents.

The cost depends on:

  • the number of pages or files
  • whether the document is provided digitally or on paper

You can find the current fees here

Older documents

Older documents may be held by Stadsarkivet in Borås Stad.

There you can:

  • order documents through an e-service
  • search the e-archive

The Bostäder i Borås document register

Under the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, we must register official documents. We do this in our registry and case management system, and in certain other operational systems.

The register is not open for direct searching, but you can contact us at info@bostaderiboras.se if you want access to information or documents.
