For the first time, Bostäder i Borås appears on Great Place to Work's list of Sweden's best workplaces in the property sector. The award is based on employees' own experiences of their workplace and is proof of long-term work on culture, leadership and involvement.

- This makes me very proud and happy, says Mikael Hansson, CEO of Bostäder i Borås. The most important thing for us as an employer is that everyone who works here enjoys it, gets to develop and feels engaged in their work. Being on the list is of course great fun, but what matters most is how our employees experience everyday life with us.

Over the past few years, Bostäder i Borås has worked purposefully to develop its company culture. Among other things, leadership has been strengthened, new ways of working have been developed and involvement in the business has increased.

- Our employees giving us such high marks is fine proof of the work we have done together. It feels great to get this confirmation from the people who know the business best, says Mikael Hansson.

The list is based on employees' own answers in Great Place to Work's employee survey. Workplaces are assessed on things such as trust, community, pride and how leadership is experienced.

For Bostäder i Borås, a strong workplace culture is an important condition for creating value for both customers and society.

- We are more than a property company. Every day our employees help to create safe homes, living neighbourhoods and a better everyday life for thousands of Borås residents. When people enjoy their work, it shows in how they meet our tenants. That gives us better conditions to be the landlord we want to be, Mikael Hansson concludes.
