Housing company celebrates local driving spirits in large format
In autumn 2022 a large survey was carried out on Hässleholmen on behalf of Bostäder i Borås, asking about the living environment, wellbeing and the conditions for growing up. As many as 4,103 Hässleholmen residents took part, which is 55% of the people living in the area. Now the results and the measures taken are being presented, by celebrating local driving spirits on huge facade banners.
In autumn 2022 a large survey was carried out on Hässleholmen on behalf of Bostäder i Borås, asking about the living environment, wellbeing and the conditions for growing up. As many as 4,103 Hässleholmen residents took part, which is 55% of the people living in the area. The number of responses is unique in Sweden, and the results have formed the basis for the changes made and planned in the area.
- The results of the survey bring together the dreams, views and wishes of the people in Hässleholmen, says Genc Avdiu, acting head of area development. On that basis we can keep working on the right things, so that together we create a more attractive, safer and more pleasant Hässleholmen.
The involvement of the residents is the foundation of the work, and it has been important to work together with the city, associations, the police and other actors in society. Much of the force driving change is the residents themselves, and the housing company now wants to celebrate and highlight these driving spirits through the campaign Tusen tack Hässle.
The campaign presents eight of Hässleholmen's most committed and dedicated residents. Their efforts and burning commitment are an important part of the positive development in Hässleholmen. They have been portrayed by the photographer Mats Alfredsson, and his pictures are now going up on eight different facades around the area. The images in the campaign are a reminder of the work that has been done and of the value of joint effort.
- The Tusen tack Hässle campaign is a way for us to show our appreciation to the remarkable people who contribute every day to making Hässleholmen an even better place to live, says Sophia Jonsson, head of marketing and communications at Bostäder i Borås. We know this is work that never stops and that it takes time, but we have decided that it can be done.
As the banners go up in the area, the housing company is also opening up more ways to make your wishes heard, through its website. The website sets out what has been done in Hässleholmen since autumn 2022 and invites people to carry on developing all of the areas in Borås together. The ambition is to create a culture of co-creation where every voice is heard and every dream has the potential to come true.
