Now Hässleholmen residents get to tell us about their dreams for the future
Bostäder i Borås continues to involve the people of Borås in its work to create a socially sustainable city. This spring the company hired some thirty people to find out how residents in Norrby want to improve their area, and now it is Hässleholmen's turn. Twenty people are being taken on for a project to interview Hässleholmen residents and get them involved in the work.

- The dialogue with the people who live in Hässleholmen is extremely important if we are to get a full picture of what needs to be done to make the area safer and more pleasant, says Talar Kirkor, head of area development at Bostäder i Borås. Through a shared commitment we can find the right way forward.
The involvement of Hässleholmen's residents is therefore the basis for the continued development of the area, and Bostäder i Borås is now hiring around 20 people to interview everyone who lives in Hässleholmen over a six-week period. The interviews carried out earlier in Norrby have resulted in working groups of Norrby residents who are working to carry out the changes. The hope now is that similar results can be achieved in Hässleholmen.
- First and foremost we need the Hässleholmen residents' own views and wishes, says Talar Kirkor. After that, we as a housing company can work together with the municipality and other actors in society to make sure the changes are carried out. That way we can create a more attractive, safer and more pleasant Hässleholmen.
