- With street football we are taking a further step to strengthen the Hässleholmen residents' sense of ownership of Hässle torg, says Genc Avdiu, acting head of area development at Bostäder i Borås. Our aim is to make the square a safe and welcoming place where residents can take an active part and feel involved in developing their area.
The event builds on the annual street basketball tournaments held by Bostäder i Borås, which have become a popular feature in Hässleholmen. Continuing the tradition of sports events promotes not only physical activity but also community engagement and safety in the area.
- We see sport as a tool for creating a sense of pride and belonging, Genc Avdiu continues. The event will also offer activities for visitors and food and drink for sale. So we are hoping for a real family day.
