Smoke Alarm Day

A working smoke alarm can give you life-saving minutes to get yourself and those close to you to safety. That is why it is so important to test that your smoke alarm really works as it should, and today is a reminder to do just that.

This is how:

1. Press the test button.
2. Can you hear the signal? Perfect.
3. No signal? Change the battery or the whole smoke alarm.

Where should the smoke alarm be placed?

• Near the bedroom.
• Near the kitchen (but not right in the kitchen).
