This year's rent negotiations have started
Together with Hyresgästföreningen, we have started the negotiations on rents for 2026.
The negotiations are based on a shared model that takes account of both local costs, such as electricity and maintenance, and national factors such as interest rates and inflation.
- It is always a balancing act to make the rents and our costs add up, says Madelen Svensson, head of finance. At the same time, we have to be clear that rents are our only source of income and the basis for being able to look after the buildings and develop the homes. When rent increases have been lower than our actual cost increases for several years, that of course has consequences for how much we can maintain and invest.
With the three-party system, the negotiations between us and Hyresgästföreningen start from a shared factual basis. Both local costs such as electricity, heating, waste and maintenance, and national factors such as interest rates, GDP and inflation are taken into account.
- Our aim is to find an agreement that is reasonable for tenants here and now, and that at the same time lets us care for and develop our properties over the long term, Madelen Svensson continues. That way we can keep offering safe and well-kept homes in the future too.
As soon as the negotiations are finished, you will be told your new rent.
