Nala has a new kitchen - "It is more fun to come home"
Last autumn the kitchens were renovated in several of our properties at Tullen. One of those who now comes home to a new, fresh kitchen is the Siberian husky Nala.
Six-year-old Nala lives in 25 square metres together with her owner Christoffer Svantesson. They have lived in the apartment for about five years, and in that time they have really put their own stamp on the home.
The kitchen, though, has been a challenge - especially for Nala, who would like a comfortable place to rest while her owner is busy cooking.

- The kitchen was cramped, old and worn. I also missed having worktop space, and it was hard to fit everything in, says Christoffer Svantesson.
Nala was not happy either. There used to be a wall blocking the view into the kitchen, and it got cramped when she wanted to keep an eye on her owner while he cooked.
A new kitchen lifted the apartment
The existing kitchens in the buildings are the original ones from when the buildings went up in the 1950s. In the autumn of 2024, tenants at the address were offered a kitchen renovation as part of a pipe replacement. Christoffer said yes, and the work took two to three weeks.
- Of course it is hard to live in a small space while everything is being rebuilt. But the builders did a good job of screening things off so the building dust and everything else stayed out of the living area, says Christoffer.
For those who chose to renovate, all the new kitchens were finished during March 2025. Now, with the new kitchen in place, both Christoffer and Nala are more than happy. The kitchen is lighter and has more space - perfect both for cooking and for giving a four-legged friend a spot of her own.

- It has made a huge difference! Much airier and fresher. It is more fun to come home and cook when everything is new and fresh, says Christoffer.
Nala seems to be enjoying her new kitchen too - she can move around more easily, has more room to stretch out and can follow her owner with her eyes without being in the way. A real lift for both the two-legged and the four-legged members of the family.
