New agreement on apartment maintenance
From 2026 new rules apply to tenant-led apartment maintenance. Here is a quick overview of what is changing and what it means for you as a tenant.
Together with Hyresgästföreningen we have agreed a new agreement on tenant-led apartment maintenance. It brings a few changes that are good to know about when you plan maintenance in your apartment.
This is what is new
A pause during 2026
During 2026 we are not taking new orders. We will be working to complete the orders already placed.
One room per year
From now on, you can order new wallpaper or repainting for one room per year. We no longer rewallpaper or repaint whole apartments on a single occasion. This means more tenants can benefit from the funds set aside.
New interval - 13 years
The interval for when you can order new wallpaper or repainting is extended from 12 years to 13 years, which is the industry standard.
