Twelve new family apartments are taking shape in the heart of Trandared

A house from the early 1950s in popular Trandared is being given new life. At Söderforsgatan 17, twelve modern, spacious homes are taking shape, with a focus on function, quality and comfort. The apartments are planned to be ready for move-in in November 2025.

- We have kept the best of the building and renewed everything else. These will be homes to enjoy, with large kitchens, smart bathrooms and plenty of space to make everyday life easier, says project manager Abbas Mahmoudi.

New from floor to ceiling

The building was previously used as supported housing and is now being turned into seven five-room apartments and five four-room apartments. Each apartment gets a brand new kitchen with clean, simple materials, a fully tiled bathroom and a separate toilet.

- The best thing about the apartments is the generous layouts, the large kitchens and the bathrooms. And of course the luxury of having your own washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom, says Abbas Mahmoudi.

All the homes also get a balcony facing the courtyard and plenty of storage space.

Floors in tile, vinyl and parquet have been chosen to last over time and to give the home a welcoming feel.

Safe, green and close to everything

Trandared is a well-liked area in Borås, particularly among families with children. Playgrounds, schools, preschools, a grocery shop and restaurants are all close by. And it is only a few minutes into the centre.
