Göta gets its own arena - the housing company invests in active leisure and more meeting places
Next week Bostäder i Borås opens its second multi-arena, a sports pitch for football, basketball and floorball among other things. The company already has an arena in Hässleholmen, and now it is the tenants in Göta who get another new space for activity. The hope is that the site will become a lively meeting point for both children and adults.

- With this investment we want to make Göta even more alive, says Genc Avdiu, acting head of area development at Bostäder i Borås. The multi-arena is an important part of our work to encourage an active leisure time and create shared meeting places in our city. We hope the people of Göta will use the new arena at least as much as our tenants in Hässleholmen use theirs.
Besides the multi-arena, the housing company is also building an outdoor gym next to the pitch. The idea is that the area can be used both for training on your own and in groups. The multi-arena and the outdoor gym create opportunities for both organised sport and spontaneous play, which should strengthen the sense of community and activity in the area.
The new arena opens on Wednesday 15 May, 15.00-18.00. Visitors will be served refreshments and can try out the new facility. Alongside Bostäder i Borås, Borås Stad is also opening a new meeting place in Göta at the same time.
